Susan Marticek
Founder & Executive Director
Susan Marticek is a disaster recovery expert who has worked passionately in emergency management for 18 years with key positions at the American Red Cross, FEMA and the Ocean County Long Term Recovery Group (OCLTRG). Her dedicated assistance in recovery efforts for 9/11 and Hurricanes Katrina and Irene equipped her with the empathy, knowledge and expertise to be uniquely qualified to lead Compass 82 and its mission.

Melissa Luckman, Esq.
Director of Development & Compliance
Melissa Luckman, Esq. was previously the Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Touro Law Center Disaster Relief Clinic, which provided pro bono legal services to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. She is a nationally recognized expert in disaster recovery and focuses her practice on insurance litigation, alternative dispute resolution, and real estate transactions. She has served as a consultant to various local, state and federal government offices on disaster response and preparedness, specifically with regard to the re-authorization of the National Flood Insurance Program, as well as implementation of Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery programs. In addition, she is a member of the New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association Disaster Legal Services Team.

Catherine Farley
Director of Finance
Catherine Farley brings to Compass 82 the skills and experience she garnered during her nearly 40 years working for the State of New Jersey and as CFO of multi-million dollar non-profit corporation. Her time in the Department of Human Services, Office of the Attorney General and the State Commission of Investigation allowed Catherine to work closely with the NJ State Police and the Office of the Governor following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Catherine helped pave the way for the rise of Compass 82 as the Financial and Human Resources Director as well as spearheading the agency’s NFIP initiative.
